Hard Day’s Night
Hey guys, I had to do a favour for my mother this morning and it has pretty much drained me of all brain power and strength for the rest of the day. There may or may not be an update on this later, depending on legalities, but regular posting, at least, will resume tomorrow.
Quitting Facebook
Much news has been made of Quit Facebook Day, an idea that started as a website, and as of yesterday had progressed to having 34,995 people committed to quitting the addictive, not-so-little social networking site. Ostensibly, these people are quitting (or planning on quitting) due to the privacy concerns presented by some of Facebook’s newest … Read more
Design Day: Bags
Do you ever feel like an Etsy cheater when you find something you absolutely LOVE on the very first page of your search? I’ve never been one of those people who picks and pokes successfully through things. I fail utterly at second-hand stores. Didn’t know it was possible to fail at stores? I MANAGE IT. … Read more
Best-man-wedding-shoes

Pick on someone your own size
Yesterday my grandfather came in from the valley, to celebrate his 81st birthday with gingerbread and pot roast. And heavenly, heavenly potatoes. Oh, the potatoes. I was helpfully lounging on the sofa in the living room when he arrived, while the rest of the family hustled and bustled around. I’m swell like that. To be … Read more

Yesterday’s, today’s, and most likely tomorrow’s book is An Unquiet Mind: A Memoir of Moods and Madness, by Kay Redfield Jamison. I will later get into the reasons why this book is important to my life right now, but for the moment suffice it to say that I’m having a hard time and I’m trying … Read more
Warning: Political
I feel a little nervous getting into a political viewpoint here – I find very few things divide people so much as political beliefs, and I don’t really feel like walking into a minefield of hate mail. However, I also believe very strongly that to avoid expressing opinion because of who it might anger is … Read more
